How it works

From prompt to published in three steps

  1. Step 1

    Connect your client

Add the server URL to claude.ai, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Cursor or any MCP client. Sign in with OAuth or send an API key.

  2. Step 2

    Ask in plain language

“Post this clip to TikTok and Reels at 6 pm.” The assistant picks the right tools and fills in the arguments.

  3. Step 3

    IndReelForge delivers

Posts go out through your connected accounts with the same validation and limits as the REST API, and the assistant can check the result.

Setup

Connect your AI client in a minute

OAuth for claude.ai, Claude Desktop and ChatGPT. An API key header for Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf, Gemini CLI and everything else.

claude.ai & Desktop

OAuth 2.1 — sign in, no API key
  1. 1Open Settings → Connectors and choose “Add custom connector”.
  2. 2Paste the server URL: https://api.indreelforge.com/mcp
  3. 3Sign in to IndReelForge and approve the tools you want Claude to use.
  4. 4Start a chat and ask Claude to post, schedule or check analytics.

Claude Desktop uses the same Settings → Connectors flow. Manage or revoke access any time in Dashboard → API Keys → Connected Apps.

Try it

Things you can ask

Plain-language requests the assistant turns into tool calls.

Cross-post a video
“Post demo.mp4 to TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts with the caption “Launch day 🚀” and pick a fitting title for YouTube.”
Plan a week
“Schedule these five tips as LinkedIn and Threads text posts, one per weekday at 9:30 am my time.”
Fix what failed
“Check yesterday’s uploads, tell me which platforms failed and why, then retry the ones that can be retried.”
Read the numbers
“Which of my last 10 posts got the most views on each platform? Summarise it in a short table.”
Respect the limits
“How many posts do I have left today on each platform? If X is close to its limit, put tomorrow’s posts in my queue instead.”
Tidy the calendar
“List everything scheduled for next week and move anything on Saturday to Monday morning.”

Security & control

You decide what the AI can do

Connected apps are visible and revocable from your dashboard, and nothing bypasses the API’s own checks.

OAuth 2.1 sign-in

claude.ai, Claude Desktop and ChatGPT connect by signing in to IndReelForge — no API key is pasted into the chat app.

Per-tool toggles

Choose exactly which tools each connected app may call from Dashboard → API Keys → Connected Apps.

Destructive tools off by default

delete_upload and cancel_scheduled stay disabled for OAuth apps until you switch them on.

Revoke any time

Disconnect a connected app from your dashboard whenever you like to end its access.

API keys need 2FA

Creating an API key for Claude Code, Cursor and other clients requires two-factor authentication.

Same rules as the API

Every MCP call runs through the REST API, so plan limits, validation and rate limits all still apply.

Prefer function calling?

Building with LangChain, LlamaIndex or OpenAI / Anthropic tool use directly? Wrap the REST API as your own tool, or use the Python and Node SDKs. Keep the API key in your server-side handler — the model only sees tool names and results.

Frequently asked questions

What is the IndReelForge MCP server?

A hosted Model Context Protocol server at https://api.indreelforge.com/mcp (Streamable HTTP). It gives AI assistants such as Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor 20 tools to publish, schedule and track posts and read analytics across 16 social platforms through your IndReelForge account.

Which AI clients are supported?

claude.ai, Claude Desktop and ChatGPT connect with OAuth 2.1 — you sign in, no API key needed. Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf, Gemini CLI and other MCP clients connect with an API key header (Authorization: ApiKey YOUR_API_KEY). Clients that only run local servers can use the stdio bridge: npx -y indreelforge mcp.

Do I need an API key?

Not for claude.ai, Claude Desktop or ChatGPT — they use OAuth sign-in. For Claude Code, Cursor and other clients you create an API key in Dashboard → API Keys and send it as Authorization: ApiKey YOUR_API_KEY. Creating API keys requires two-factor authentication on your account.

Is the MCP server free to use?

Yes. It works on every plan, including Free. MCP calls run through the same API as the REST endpoints, so the same plan limits, validation and rate limits apply — there is no separate MCP charge.

Can the AI delete or cancel my posts?

Only if you allow it. delete_upload and cancel_scheduled are marked destructive and are switched off by default for OAuth-connected apps. You can turn individual tools on or off, or revoke an app entirely, in Dashboard → API Keys → Connected Apps.

Which platforms can the agent post to?

All 16 platforms IndReelForge supports: Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, TikTok, X, LinkedIn, Threads, Pinterest, Reddit, Bluesky, Google Business Profile, Discord, Telegram, Slack, Mastodon and WordPress — whichever ones you have connected to your profiles.

How is this different from OpenAI or LangChain function calling?

With function calling you define the tool schemas and write the handler that calls the REST API yourself. The MCP server ships those tools ready-made, so any MCP client can use them with no code. If you are building your own agent framework, the function-calling guide at docs.indreelforge.com/guides/ai-agents shows how to wrap the REST API or use the Python and Node SDKs.
