Discord Integration

Discord Posting API

Send text, photos and short videos to a Discord channel with the same API call you use for every other platform. Connect with a channel webhook URL — no bot to build or host.

What You Can Post to Discord

Discord connects through a channel webhook, so posts appear in the channel you pick, under the webhook's name and avatar. Each post goes to that one channel.

Text Messages

Post announcements, release notes and updates of up to 2,000 characters straight into a Discord channel.

Photos

Attach photos to your message. Images are uploaded with the post, so they show inline in the channel.

Short Videos

Share short clips and teasers up to 10 MB — Discord's webhook upload limit. Larger files are rejected before upload so you know right away.

Quick Start: Discord Posting API

Once Discord is connected to a profile, posting is one request. Replace YOUR_API_KEY with an API key from your dashboard and my-brand with your profile name.

curl -X POST https://api.indreelforge.com/api/upload_text \
  -H 'Authorization: Apikey YOUR_API_KEY' \
  -F 'user=my-brand' \
  -F 'title=Patch 1.4 is live! Full notes in #announcements.' \
  -F 'platform[]=discord'

This request posts a message to the Discord channel your webhook points at. Add more platform[] values to post the same update everywhere at once. Read the Discord guide →

Key Features for Discord

Webhook Connection

Paste a channel webhook URL from Server Settings → Integrations → Webhooks. IndReelForge checks it with Discord before saving and stores it encrypted.

Text, Photos and Video

One integration covers text messages, photo posts and short videos up to 10 MB, through the same upload endpoints as every other platform.

Scheduling

Queue Discord announcements for a specific time from the dashboard or the API, so release notes land when your community is online.

Cross-Platform Posting

Send the same announcement to Discord, Telegram, Slack, X and more in one request, with per-platform text overrides like discord_title.

How It Works

1

Create a Webhook

In Discord, open Server Settings → Integrations → Webhooks → New Webhook, pick the channel, and copy the webhook URL.

2

Connect It to a Profile

In the IndReelForge dashboard, open a profile, click Connect next to Discord and paste the URL. We verify it live with Discord before saving.

3

Get Your API Key

Generate an API key from the dashboard and send it in the Authorization header of your requests.

4

Post via API or Dashboard

Send platform[]=discord with the upload endpoints, or post and schedule from the dashboard.

Discord API FAQ

Can I post to Discord via API?

Yes. Connect a Discord channel webhook to a profile, then send platform[]=discord with the IndReelForge upload endpoints to post text, photos or short videos to that channel.

Do I need to create a Discord bot?

No. Discord connects with a channel webhook URL. Create one in Server Settings → Integrations → Webhooks, pick the channel, and copy its URL. You need the Manage Webhooks permission in that server.

How big can Discord videos be?

Up to 10 MB per file, which is Discord's webhook upload limit. Compress or trim longer clips before posting.

Can I post to more than one Discord channel?

Each webhook posts to one channel. To post to several channels, connect each channel's webhook to its own profile.
