Mastodon connects with your instance URL and an access token from an application you create on that instance, with the write:statuses and write:media scopes.

Photos
Attach up to 4 photos to a post.
Videos
Post a single video per post, up to 40 MB.
Quick Start: Mastodon Posting API
Once Mastodon is connected to a profile, posting is one request. Replace YOUR_API_KEY with an API key from your dashboard and my-brand with your profile name.
curl -X POST https://api.indreelforge.com/api/upload_text \ -H 'Authorization: Apikey YOUR_API_KEY' \ -F 'user=my-brand' \ -F 'title=Hello fediverse! We are now posting here too.' \ -F 'platform[]=mastodon' \ -F 'platform[]=bluesky'
This request posts the same update to Mastodon and Bluesky. Use /api/upload_photos or /api/upload for photo and video posts. Read the Mastodon guide →
Key Features for Mastodon
Any Instance
Works with mastodon.social or any other Mastodon server — just enter its address when you connect.
Scoped Access Token
You create the token on your own instance with only write:statuses and write:media. IndReelForge verifies it before saving and stores it encrypted.
Scheduling
Schedule Mastodon posts from the dashboard or the API to keep a steady presence on the fediverse.
Cross-Platform Posting
Post to Mastodon, Bluesky, Threads, X and more in one request, with per-platform text overrides like mastodon_title.
How It Works
Create an Application
On your Mastodon instance, open Preferences → Development → New application.
Pick the Scopes
Tick write:statuses and write:media, save, and copy "Your access token".
Connect It to a Profile
In the IndReelForge dashboard, open a profile, click Connect next to Mastodon and enter your instance URL and token. We verify them live.
Post via API or Dashboard
Send platform[]=mastodon with the upload endpoints, or post and schedule from the dashboard.
